The market place at the
center of Belchatow looked similar to this one hundred years ago.
Stary Rynek (Old Market) was surrounded by small buildings where
mostly Jewish traders and handworkers lived.
They all perished during the
Nazi occupation. Today there are no Jews in Belchatow. But their
memory must survive. This site shows the old streets of this shtetl
and protects names of the Jewish inhabitants from being forgotten.
